The complex houses not only the Royal residence and throne halls, but also government offices and the renowned Wat Phra Kaew, containing the most revered the Emerald Buddha Image in the country.

It is recommended that for religious reasons, ladies should wear short-sleeves top with full length trousers or knee length skirts. Gentlemen should wear trousers and short-sleeved shirts. Any good walking shoes are accepted and shoes must be removed before entering any temples.
Visitthe renowned flower market in Bangkok. Thailand’s largest wholesale flower market, Bangkok Flower Market (Pak KhlongTalat in Thai), is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Pak KhlongTalat is now regarded as one of the world’s largest flower markets.
Pak KhlongTalat as it is locally known means “market at the mouth of the canal”. The area originally started as a floating market in the early 18th century (during the reign of King Rama I). Later, in the 19th century, the area became a large fish market. In the 1950s, when local authorities grew tired of the market’s fish smell permeating central Bangkok, flower and produce vendors could occupy the area, which eventually developed into the current Bangkok Flower Market.
Hop on public boat along Chaophraya River – enjoy local life style along the river until disembark at the pier near by China Town.

Constructed in the area where King U-Thong and his subjects first migrated in order to establish the new town, it was formerly known as WiangLek named after the royal palace of King U-Thong. The most distinctive feature of this temple is the great principal Buddha image cast in the early Ayutthaya style.

Traces of the original stucco decorations can still be seen on some of the surrounding chedis.
