First, we will visit Srisatchanalai Historical Park, an ancient town formerly known as Mueng Chaliang, and was renamed as Satchanalai during the reign of Phra Ruang when a new administrative center was established to replace Chaliang ruins. A total of 134 monuments have been discovered within the park. Start the historical tour with Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Temple, Chang Lom Temple, Chedi Jet Thaew Temple and Nang Phaya Temple. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to visit Sukhothai Historical Park; the first truly independent Thai Kingdom. Historical artifacts have proved that Thai culture – especially the Thai alphabets and language are originated from Sukhothai. Here you may explore ruins of the royal palaces, Buddhist temples, the city gates, walls, moats, dams, ditches, ponds, canals and the water dyke control system which was the magical and spiritual center of the Kingdom are now preserved and restored by the Fine Arts Department with the cooperation of UNESCO, not only with a view of fostering Thailand’s national identity but of safeguarding in fine example of mankind’s cultural heritage. We start the historical tour with King Ramkhamhaeng Monument, Mahathat Temple, Si-Sa Wai Temple, Traphang-Ngoen Temple, Sa-Sri Temple, Sorasak Temple, Sri Chum Temple and Phra-Phai-Luang Temple.
